"Thanks to all the students in the BCDG1701 class, getting along with each other of the four year is very precious memory for everyone." In Liu Yinfeng’s impression, whether it was the Communist Youth League secretary who led the team to participate in the "Zhejiang Youth League Branch Competition" and achieved excellent results, or Jin Yintao took the initiative to ask everyone to print posters together, the warm moments gathered together became unforgettable memories. As a member of the sports committee, while maintaining this harmonious and united class atmosphere, he is also deeply influenced by his strong learning atmosphere-being strict with himself and demanding himself with higher learning goals; and this also laid the foundation for his excellent academic performance in the future. Apart from his study, he is also passionate about football. He has participated in the school men's football league for four years and won the Sportsmanship and Style Award of the ZUCC Football League in 2019.

He said that coming to NZUWI through the Trinity is an opportunity, and choosing Industrial Design major stems from his love for design and art. The Sino-foreign teaching model of NZUWI not only provides him high-level foreign learning resources and high-quality facilities, but more importantly, it gives all students who are passionate about a field of art and design that can accommodate the collision of Chinese and Western thinking. In terms of professional learning, he was most impressed by Mr. Kieth's Visual Language class. The course content is novel, and it is an exploration and study of the essence of design, rather than superficial teaching. In addition, teacher Zhu Yuan and Andrea also gave him strong support and professional guidance when he participated in competitions and encountered professional bottlenecks.

An undying love, polishing himself in the competition

During the four years, Liu Yinfeng not only won the first-class scholarship for academic competition and third-class scholarship for academic excellence but also actively participated in professional competitions and achieved excellent results. From winning the third prize of the Zhejiang Province Industrial Design Competition in 2020 to participating in the National Innovation Project and setting up the project; from winning the first prize of the East China Division of Mobile Application Innovation Competition in 2020 to reaching the national finals and finally winning the national third prize. Behind these dazzling achievements, there are unavoidable efforts.

He and his teammates emphasised that the competition should be an opportunity for self-examination and a platform for broadening their horizons. Problems can only be solved by constant trial and error, and learning from their failure and experience. Facing the difficulties of the competition, he and his teammates said that the knowledge of "interface design" in the field of computer studies accounted for a large proportion of the score, while the modeling and rendering in the professional classes helped them make a breakthrough in product design. The internal knowledge is transformed into a competitive advantage. In the Mobile Application Innovation Competition, Liu Yinfeng, as a product design student, challenged with mobile-related knowledge; although he had to solve obstacles beyond his professional knowledge, he was breaking through his professional limitations and challenging the unknown every time!

A relentless pursuit of dreams, fighting for art

Unlike most students who choose to study abroad, Liu Yinfeng chose a further study direction that requires more effort - the domestic postgraduate entrance examination. How to balance the in-class study and the review of postgraduate entrance examination as well as how to choose universities is undoubtedly a challenge for him. For this problem, as a person who successfully passed the postgraduate entrance examination, he gave the following suggestions.

Taking himself as an example, he points out that he needs to choose a school based on his own strengths and weaknesses before preparing for the exam. First of all, learn to arrange time scientifically and rationally. On the premise of completing academic tasks in school, ensure that there is sufficient time allocated to the review of professional and public courses; for professional courses, he uses the vacation time to conduct a lot of professional practice to solidify the line foundation of painting. Secondly, break out of the exam-oriented thinking mode and develop a new thinking vision. Meanwhile, he participated in the China Academy of Art 2020 Design Autumn Camp and learned their unique way of thinking through communication with famous scholars and professors.

"Art is a rational presentation of sensibility. It is a way of presenting to the senses conveying something that belongs to the essence of the world." Hegel's analysis of art is, in a sense, exactly Liu Yinfeng's understanding of art. On the road of exploring art, he never gave up his love and pursuit; four years of professional knowledge acquisition, the exercise of design courses and the experience of competition practice coalesced into a force that promotes him to a broader art world; finally Liu Yinfeng is admitted to the School of Design of China Academy of Art with the highest score of 427 in the previous year; he embarked on a new journey, continuing to think about the profundity of art and pursuing the infinity of art.
