On 15 October, the Opening Ceremony for Center for Business Research (CBR) and the Commencement of International Finance Elite Class was held in building six. Executive Vice Dean Min He hosted the event, The Associate Dean for Academic Affairs Dr. Yong, Head Teacher Tao Wang and a team of professional teachers attended this event. All administrative staff and students of the elite class attended the event.

International Finance Elite Class is one of the first two "characteristic classes" of University of Waikato Joint Institute at Zhejiang University City College (NZUWI), which aims to cultivate high-quality and applied high-end financial innovation talents.

Dr. Yong pointed out that CBR was advised by Honorary Distinguished Professor Prof. Partha Sen and initially composed of a team of seven doctoral academic teachers. The CBR intends to become an interdisciplinary research resource - with a focus on business studies - for national and international organizations.
